Sam Moss
You are heavily involved with the East Lake Foundation's work outside of Start:ME. Can you share a little about your role there?
"I work on the finance side for the Cousins Foundation, which is affiliated with the East Lake Foundation."
I work on the finance side for the Cousins Foundation, which is affiliated with the East Lake Foundation. I helped arrange the financial structure for the building of the Junior and Senior Academy of Drew Charter School and am working on refinancing the mixed income housing of the Villages of East Lake.
What do you think is your strongest characteristic as a mentor?
"Height. I think that empathy and listening are likely my distinguishing characteristics as a mentor."
Do you have any hidden passions that the Start:ME community might not know about?
"I also go on a week-long bike trip every year somewhere in the US or Canada with three other friends."
I serve on the advisory board of New American Pathways which reflects a strong interest in immigration. I also go on a week-long bike trip every year somewhere in the US or Canada with three other friends. I love live theater and finding new restaurants and ethnic foods.
