"We typically meet when there is a change in direction or new opportunities for her business."

I still communicate regularly with my first Mentee Tina Dsouza, Esto Etno Bakery from the 2016 cohort. We typically meet when there is a change in direction or new opportunities for her business. We also check in with each other once in a while just to say hi and wish each other well. She is really committed to making it, and I am really proud of her!

What's something you didn't expect to learn from your time as a Start:ME mentor?

"How much passion and drive there is to become a successful entrepreneur at all levels of society and different stages of life."

How much passion and drive there is to become a successful entrepreneur at all levels of society and different stages of life. I also have found it very rewarding at a personal level to be able to pass on some of my business knowledge, and the genuine appreciation from the entrepreneurs that I have worked with.

Your a multi-unit franchise master. What is a similarity between those businesses and those you mentor at Start:ME that has helped you mentor?

"Start:ME helps these entrepreneurs put together a business plan that helps formulate an operating system."

A franchise is really just a proven operating system. If it is a good franchise, and you follow that formula you will be successful. Start:ME helps these entrepreneurs put together a business plan that helps formulate an operating system that can make each of the entrepreneurs successful with their business.
