"[My adoptive mother] first put a crayon in my hand as a toddler and quickly noticed I possessed a very delightful visual acuity."

Since as far back as I can remember, I have always been able to dream LOUD, LIVE, AND in COLOR! Because of that, all the illustrious and colorful ideas and concepts behind my one of a kind PRIVY creations are like second nature to me. My creative nature was fostered by my adoptive mother. She first put a crayon in my hand as a toddler and quickly noticed I possessed a very delightful visual acuity. My passion for color was ignited and unleashed and eventually led to the PRIVY company?

Your adoptive mother seems to have had a major influence on you and your design skills. Tell us a little about her and her influence on your work.

"Most of all she cultivated a conducive environment for constant creativity."

She was a very hard-working widow with 6 children she was left to raise on her own. She took me in after I was abandoned by my biological mother and left on her door step at six months old.
Every morning as she dressed me as a little girl, she would smile so bright, give me the biggest hug and then kiss me while telling me that I am the most beautiful girl in the world! It was the best feeling ever.
Although we were of very meager means, she gave me her very best and never let on that I was not biologically hers until I was much older. She always made sure that I had everything that other kids my age had and/or better. Most of all she cultivated a conducive environment for constant creativity by buying me all sorts of art supplies like coloring books, markers, pencils, paints, yarn, dolls, fabric, etc. She would let me play and put on her make-up and dress-up for hours on end.
Her academic standards were exceptionally high for me as well. Just as she provided me with the best, she mandated that I reciprocate and maintain or exceed her level of expectations. She kept me dressed like a colorful princess and she always put something aside for me so that I could continue to commandeer creativity.

How does her influence impact your customers expierence?

"I want my dresses and clothing apparel to make every woman feel the way that I did when I was playing dress up."

I want my dresses and clothing apparel to make every woman feel the way that I did when I was playing dress up. Quite simply, I want her to feel loved, honored, adored, recognized, appreciated, validated, strengthened, alluring and most of all remembered. She is magnetically beautiful, bold and appealing to anyone who has the pleasure of being PRIVY to her presence.
