What the business does

Skin care product line featuring homemade natural whipped body butters in over 25 scents, lip balms, and more

Your business is 8 years in the making. Can you walk us through how the business got started?

"[My family] started sharing [my product] with others and more and more I was being asked to purchase my body butter."

I was creating products for my family and close friends only for years. They started sharing with others and more and more I was being asked to purchase my body butter. I did a 90 day trial to see if I had a business or if it was just a hobb./ In 90 days I sold 100 jars and Butter Me Up by JRena was born!

Your business formed out of your sons own skin care challenges. Outside of betting some of your products, what's your favorite piece of advice for someone, or the parent of someone, suffering from dry skin?

"Use quality products with ingredients that you can pronounce!"

I would advise anyone that is suffering to use quality products with ingredients that you can pronounce!  After all our skin is the largest organ of the body and must be taken care of and nourished.

What has been the most rewarding part of the Start:ME program?

Baker_BlackandBillingual_1

"The commitment that each entrepreneur has to support the growth and development of their peers's businesses."

The most rewarding part of Start:ME has been the commitment that each entrepreneur has to support the growth and development of their peers's businesses. The second most rewarding is the relationships that are built with mentors and other entrepreneurs. It's a journey worth taking!
